Don Brooksby has over 39 years of computer hardware and software, networking, and programming experience. Don soaked in knowledge for over 15 years with a computer manufacturer and spent 6 years as a Technical Support and Manufacturing Manager and the last 8 as the General Manager, and for the entire 15 years selling product and services for that company before joining Sunridge. Don provides training for the basic, intermediate, and expert needs at our hotels as well as managing all the technology coming and going in our hotels.
Over 40 Years of Hotel Development and Management
Paul Welker founded Sunridge Properties and began operations in 1981 developing small office and apartment properties along with his first hotel project (the Best Western Pinetop Inn) in Pinetop, Arizona. The main area of focus for Sunridge has always been in the hospitality industry with the development of approximately 50 hotel projects representing various hotel brands. Since joining Marriott in 1999, Sunridge has received numerous awards including multiple “Management Company of the Year” awards, multiple “Best New Opening” awards and awards for highest “Guest Satisfaction Scores” (GSS), just to name a few. Sunridge is also a nine-time recipient of Marriott’s most prestigious award, “The Partnership Circle Award”, which is presented to Marriott’s top Management & Development Companies.
